If there is anyone who has decided to trade in good music, then one name that should come to mind every time is no other than Aramide. Gifted with the ability of a nightingale, Aramide sings to win hearts, and make people crave for more. Even the stonehearted melts at the sound of her sonorous voice. These attributes were what Aramide wielded even as she rode across two cities.
It was business as usual for the Queen of Afro-Soul music, when she journeyed to Accra; the capital of Ghana. While performing songs from her Suitcase album, she left everyone in a state of awe. Even though she was far from home, the Guitarist cum Saxophonist captured hearts with her Suitcase.
After taking Ghana by storm, Aramide still had more to offer, and she did that in grand style. And like the speed of light, Aramide returned to Naija to complete what she started. This time, the setting was at the Euphoria, Maryland Mall, Lagos.
On a very hot Sunday afternoon, March 19 2017, Aramide Suitcase Live held, and people turned up in their numbers to witness the very best of music. Aramide began by showing love to her fans, as she autographed CDs for them.
During the event proper, there was no dull moment. It wasn’t just about the quality of music that filtered the hall, but the immeasurable fun that she had with everyone who was present.
She nailed the event with ‘Funmi Lowo’; the song that kept everyone dancing till she took a bow that was met by applauds and shouts. It was really a good and euphoric afternoon.
The journey of two cities entail the commitment of a woman towards her endeavour, and the need to put her name on the lips of everyone who enjoys good music.
